New York University W6 Health and Medical and Discussion

Question Description

I’m working on a health & medical discussion question and need support to help me study.

Please note that each and every assignment has its own word limit.

Review the replies you received to your week 6 DQ 1 response below in bold and quotation. Discuss the suggestions you received for trust building along with your own ideas for how you can improve on developing trust. List three action steps you will take to foster trust and build a strong team the next time you are leading a group.

Individual Strengths in Building Trust

As a collaborative leader, my strengths in building trust include my open way of communication and commitment. I communicate openly and expose myself to the team, and the strategy makes it much easier for me to make my team feel that I am nothing different from them (Dang et al., 2017). I also do stay committed to the team when addressing their needs. This helps me show how much I care to the team, and in response, my team does form the trust that I can make them feel safe in any situation.

The Most Important Area(s) for Improvement in Building Trust

Despite being effective in building trust, I still have some critical areas to improve in building trust. For instance, my consistency. Sometimes I do find myself in the most challenging situations that I have to postpone some actions. I need to adjust and improve on this to be consistent with what I say to strengthen how I build trust over time.

How Trust Determines Relationships Within the Public Health System

Trust determines relationships within the public health system to make healthcare providers have open lines of communication that increase how they bond together as a team; to improve how they care for the patients (Ward, 2017).

Illustrative Example

An example illustrating the ideas above is the case of a pediatric hospital in Colorado. For a long time, the hospital had poor communication among the staff and recorded poor care for patients (Harris & Jones, 2018). However, when a leadership transition occurred and a new leader with a high level of commitment and open communication came in. First, the new leader was able to build trust. Later, when the trust was strong in the hospital, the new leader leveraged the level of trust to create open communication among the staff. This helped the staff in the hospital build more significant relationships with one another and increase how they care for patients.

” Very informative discussion post. I have had the pleasure of working with you over the first four weeks of class and I can agree that your strengths are on point. You have a great work ethic and like to get work completed before deadlines to allow for changes. You care for your team and take lead when needed to get projects completed on time. You provide input where needed and communicate openly to ensure everyone understands each detail. Thank you for sharing your improvements. You are always organized, work ahead, and have your thoughts in order, so I can see how postponing some action items and consistency can become challenging. I also have challenges with consistency. If you consistently do what you set forth to do, you’ll build trust overtime to accomplish that goal. Being committed must be the core of your behavior, day after day in all you do. I know with your busy schedule sometimes it is hard to stay committed to certain tasks, but I know you have the willpower to do so.”

It is important that you cover all the topics identified in the assignment. Covering the topic does not mean mentioning the topic BUT presenting an explanation from the context of ethics and the readings for this class

I am a stickler for good organization in everything. I do not want to have to dig for your answers. For instance, if an assignment asks you to provide three examples of something, I suggest that you number them 1-3 so I can find them easily. I also expect that when you submit something as a narrative, you pay attention to how you organize your thoughts: use paragraphs with a topic sentence and supporting sentences; and change paragraphs whenever you introduce a new idea. Also, if there are multiple parts to an assignment, use sub-heads within the paper to organize them.

To get maximum points you need to follow the requirements listed for this assignments 1) look at the word/page limits 2) review and follow APA rules 3) create subheadings to identify the key sections you are presenting and 4) Free from typographical and sentence construction errors.
