Question Description
I’m working on a education & teaching discussion question and need support to help me learn.
For this Discussion, you will take on the role of an administrator or manager in a department at an institution of higher education. First, identify your role and to whom you would ultimately report: the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Vice President Student Affairs, Vice President Advancement, Vice President Administration, Vice President Enrollment Management, or Chief Business/Financial Officer.
Then consider, based on your office or role:
- How would you assess the financial health of your department?
- What criteria would you use?
- What data would be relevant to you?
- How would you account to your supervisor as to the financial health of your department?
- How do the perspectives and interests of managers in other departments compare to yours?
By Day 3
Post a summary of your thoughts on the questions above. Be sure to support your response with references to this week’s Learning Resources and personal references where applicable.
